Congratulations to Kuroyama Budokai founders and principal instructors Brendan Kee and Damon Schearer who were promoted to Jodo Rokudan after successfully passing an examination of the All Japan Kendo Renmei in Edogawa on 10 March.

The exam was preceded by several days intense training under the guidance of Shiiya Mitsuo Sensei Jodo Hanshi Hachidan.

A special thanks to our friend Butsui Katsuo Sensei for hosting the training at her personal dojo, Ryujikan, in Shimizu.

Our Chikushinkai Dojo (VKR) friend Marcus Lee-Steere was also promoted to Iaido Rokudan
