Congratulations to Kuroyama Budokai founder and principal instructor Damon Schearer who was promoted to Iaido Rokudan after successfully passing an examination of the All Japan Kendo Renmei in Edogawa on 27 November 2022.

The exam was preceded by a weeks intense training in Gifu prefecture under the guidance of Komura Shigeru Iaido Kyoshi Hachidan.

Our Kohokai Dojo (QKR) friend Tom Johnson was also promoted to Iaido Rokudan.
